A Day of Relaxation

Hi all! Today was super fun and relaxing. We did facials on each other all day. Stephanie was my partner. We took turns doing them on each other. They felt so nice!!! And now my skin feels all fresh and clean. Tomorrow we are doing brow waxing and tinting. I hope we all end the day with both eyebrows still on our heads, lol!! This Friday we are having a slumber party at Linda's. It should be pretty fun! :) I hope I can go, but it depends on when everyone wants to go see Peyton and Lucas. I am also hoping that Tiffany can cut my hair tomorrow evening. It really needs to be cut. It also needs to be dyed, but I am too lazy to make an appointment.

A Day (Or 2) of Firsts

Soooo yesterday Erika had her twins (Peyton Joy & Lucas Benjamin)!!!! They are February babies, so I continue to be the only March birthday, hehe!! But yes, I am super excited to have newborn little cousins. I am hoping to go see them this weekend with my mom and whoever else. :) In school we learned how to do manicures and pedicures. Then we got to give each other manicures!!! It was like a slumber party, haha. After school I went to my dad's for dinner. They made enchiladas. They were gooood. I brought some home with me that I had for lunch today. It was nice to have a home cooked meal after a long day of school. My dad also informed me that I have free health insurance until I am 21 regardless of whether or not I am still in school. So that is pretty nice. Do not have to worry about finding new health insurance for awhile. On my way home I got pulled over for the first time. It was scary! Apparently the cop did not like me going 80 on the freeway. He did not give me a ticket though. So I was pretty happy about that. I really do not need my insurance going up any. Today, in main theory, Eddie did some pretty sweet make up on Eric as a demonstration. It turned out really cool! Eric took it off shortly after though because he was worried about breaking out. We learned how to do nail wraps, repairs, brush ons, and tips today. I thought it was pretty fun, even though I sucked so bad at it. The tips were the easiest, which is nice since that is what most people seem to get. So we were working on operations all day. I was the only person to get all of mine done. Woo! I will not have to worry about it out on the floor. I talked to Michelle this evening, which was nice since we have not talked in awhile. I also repainted my nails because they got messed up while messing with nail glue and acrylic today. I think that is about all that I have to share.

Update

So Josh and I are up in Cottonwood at my mom's house. We drove up Friday night, it was a long long long drive!!! This morning we woke up and got ready to head into Redding. We dropped Brianna off at her friend's house. Her formal banquet thingy is tonight and she wanted to get ready with her friends. So then Sean dropped Josh, my mom, and I off at Costco while he went to his doctor appointment. I got some Pirate's Booty, Rice Chips, and Edamame(sp). It was fun getting all the free samples, lol. Afterwards we went to Chipolte and I got some guacamole and chips. We went over to my grandparent's house and hung out for a little bit. We then went to meet Brianna at her banquet to take some pictures of her in her dress. Hmmm then this evening there was all this drama. Bleh. Okay, I am done.

Good Morning

Ahhh I woke up and my hair is all crazy!!! It will not stay down, random pieces are sticking up. Grrr, bad hair day. Well yesterday this extensions lady was our guest speaker. They looked reallly cool. I think I want to call her and find out how much she offers classes for. You can make pretty sweet money off of extensions. I did a weave on my doll yesterday too!!It was so fun! Tonight I am going to help Aunt Kathy with some work, so I will have a little extra money. Woo! Hehe, well I need to go finish getting ready.

Has it really been almost a week?!

Wow, I have not written since Monday! How weird. I guess the weekdays were not that interesting. On Tuesday, Tina, from Vidal Sassoon was here, and she demonstrated 2 haircuts for everyone. It was pretty cool. Her sectioning and everything was just amazing. The rest of the week was pretty normal and routine. Thursday I drove down to Turlock to surprise Josh since his birthday was Wednesday and Valentine's Day was Saturday. Friday we ran some errands and went to Josh's mom's house for a birthday party for him and his grandma.

My Day

So I had a major blonde moment this morning. I show up at school at 8:50ish and no one is there. I am freaking out because I think class is supposed to start, but the doors are locked. I finally remember that on Mondays I do not have class until 10:30. Yeah, I felt incredibly stupid. So, I went over to Target. Found a birthday card for the boy, a super cute sweater for $6, a book(Confessions of a Shopaholic), and some cat food. We started color today(as I thought we were). It was way fun. We did these swatches where you take little chunks of hair and bleach part of them. Yeah, it was pretty cool. It was really weird not having Kendra, Jessica, and Galina there. Kind of quiet I guess. I forgot to bring my laptop to class again. It would be so much easier to take notes with it!!! I hope I remember tomorrow. The Vidal Sassoon lady(Tina) is going to be at school giving a seminar tomorrow, so we will not be doing as much coloring. It sounds like it will be pretty cool though. After school I headed over to In-N-Out on Del Paso because Aunt Rhonda and Abbey brought Jordan up to Sacramento, and my grandpa drove down to get him. So we all met for dinner. It was pretty nice. And now I am at home, waiting till 8 because the Bachelor comes on.

Recap

Busy busy busy. Well, kind of to an extent. I have a lot of stuff to catch you all up on. Hmmm Friday we worked on our thio relaxers. I got all three of them signed off so I only have one more sodium hydroxide relaxer to do for level 1. Woo! Annnnnnnd we got our Vidal Sassoon books and DVDs!!! I was so so excited about that. I guess we are having a Vidal Sassoon seminar on Tuesday, so that should be fun. We have to attend in order to get our diplomas. I got In-N-Out for dinner then headed home. I left my house around 9:30 Saturday morning to make sure I had enough time to find Fleet Feet in Davis. Work went really well. It was annoying though because we had to move our cars every 2 hours because of 2 hour parking. Jeannine gave Annie and I a coupon to Chipolte for lunch. It was super super yummy!! She is also going to be sending me a list of all the races coming up, so I can sign up for some of them. Sarah picked me up on her way to Palo Alto. So I got to see my mom, brother, cousins, step dad, stepsister, and everyone else for a little bit. I stayed the night at JD and Erika's. Lots of Rockband 2 was involved. That game is loads of fun, even though I suck at it. This morning we walked to this little diner in downtown Palo Alto. It had pretty good food. Back at the house, we started what is called the endless set list on Rockband. It includes all of the songs on the game(that is 84 songs!), and you play the set with no breaks. Sarah and I left around song 20. Neither of us our so good with directions. We got on 580 E when we were supposed to be on 580 W. The stupid GPS did not tell us which one though!!! Lol, we eventually found our way back though. We start hair color this week and I am pretty thrilled about it. :))

A Quick One

So this blog is going to be a quick one. I am super tired and need sleep. Ooooo! I got 100% on my Skin D&D test! I am so happy! :) We worked on relaxers today. The practice on the dolls was pretty easy, but I am scared about when we will have to do it on real people. You can really fry people's scalps with the sodium hydroxide. Scary stuff!! Mmm, I went to Target and the 99 cent store after school. I got some kitty litter and kitty litter deoderizer. Hopefully that will help the stuffyness some. I think that is all for tonight.

Mmmmm Stuff

Hmmm, what to type..... Well, turns out the skin d&d test is tomorrow and not today. So in main theory, we just reviewed the whole time. I hope that I do decent!! Then we basically just did perms all day. Okay, not even basically. We did perms all day. I got both the bricklayer and the piggyback signed off. The piggyback is definitely my favorite so far. I only have the spiral perm left to do. Ehh so I need a job. Why is no one hiring?! I am actually starting to worry about money, even though I am for sure good for the next 5 months. Ughhh I would just like a job so that I have money to buy my food and get gas and presents and such. Maybe I can do more stuff for A Change of Pace. I will have to talk to Jeannine about that. Betty and I discussed food payments today a little bit. She was asking for $5/ a day for food. I know it is not really that much, but I cannot really afford to commit to that every day. So I am just going to be figuring out my own food and meals. If I lose 20 lbs you will know why, lol. Sooo I absolutely love my hair! I am getting used to it. It still feels kind of weird like in the shower because there is not very much hair there anymore and feels so light. But yes, I love it very much. Tomorrow I think we will be learning relaxers. I am interested to learn about them. I am working at packet pick up for a race in Davis this weekend. So there is a little money to go towards everything. Woo! Alright, it is sleepy time soon.

Sleepyness

Hi all! Mmm today was a pretty good day. I woke up super tired. I did not want to get up at all, but of course I did. In main theory, Eddie taught us a different take on long layers. He called it the X-Cut. It was pretty interesting. Then in the freshmen room we learned more about perms and such. I got my first two types signed off. They were the straightback and the candlestick. Tomorrow I will start the bricklayer. I actually really like perms. A few people kept saying "OMG! I am never going to do perms!!" And I just do not really understand why everyone hates them so much. Linda got sent home because her dress was too short. She looked hella hot, but yeah, it was on the short side. Hmm, so I just remembered that we have a test on skin diseases and disorders tomorrow. I am so going to fail this one. Soooooo many terms to know. I suppose I should go over them tonight or in the morning. Well, I took Betty grocery shopping tonight. I got a few things for myself. Some chips, Crystal Light pouches, and some frozen dinner thingys that I can bring to school. I am trying not to go out for lunch. I have been doing good this week. I have not gone out once yet!! Mmmm so I want to dye my hair sometime soon. I need to make an appointment for that. I am thinking that I want Brad to do it. I have been working on typing all my notes up for the past hour. My anal OCDness is getting to me. All the pages need to be organized the same. Thank you mom for that inherited trait, haha. That is all, I need sleep!!!

Oh Perms!!

Soooo this weekend we went to a superbowl party for Kevin's work. It was alright. I decided to drive home this morning, as opposed to last night, because I figured that there were probably a lot of drunk people on the road last night. So I woke up around 7am, left at 8am, and got home around 9:30am. On my way back I heard on the radio that a cable company in Arizona was hacked into during the superbowl and an adult film was played for about 8 minutes. It made me laugh when I heard that!! Soooo in class, today, we took tons and tons of notes on permanent waving. It was rediculous how much we had to write down. We practiced sectioning and wrapping a little bit. It takes a little bit to get the hang of it. Lots and lots of patience involved I suppose. I am not really sure what I think of it yet. Perms have the rep that you either really hate them or really love them, though. So, we will see how that goes. Betty and I watched The Bachelor. It is down to the final 4 girls already! It seems like it just started, and it is already close to the end. My favorite girl went home tonight, so I am kind of sad, lol. Alright, I believe that is it for now. Enjoy!
