A Glimpse

Gahhhhh, I am so so so bad at updating my blog. I always forget to do so, even when exciting things come along. Hmm, I have my lip pierced(monroe) now. I got it done on April 14th. I love love love it!!! I am happy that I got it done. What else??? I spent Easter at my dad's house. There was of course an Easter egg hunt extravaganza!! Peacocks included. I colored and highlighted my mom's hair on Friday the 17th, and cut Josh's hair the next day. Both of which turned out great(in my opinion)! Josh and his mom had interviews with two different animation schools here in Sacramento on Friday(the 24th). After the interviews we met for food at On the Border. Yummy Yummy! Today was full of perms and makeup applications. Quite the combo I would say. I am working at a race this Saturday in Fairfield/Vacaville. I am having dinner at my dad's Friday night so I will just stay the night there since the race is right by his house. Woot! Money! :P

Inked Up

Hi all!!! So I did end up getting a tattoo on Tuesday (March 31, 2009). Woo!! It was a pretty cool experience. I was really happy with the shop I chose (Elite Piercing and Tattoo). It was really clean and welcoming. Everyone there was super nice, yet professional at the same time. The tattoo did not really hurt that bad. It was definitely bearable. It hurt at first, but almost seemed like the pain went away after awhile. I do not really know how to explain it. Let us just say that I will be getting more. =] Dano (the guy who did it) was awesome. I will definitely go back to him for my future tats and piercings. I was really nervous at first, but he put me at ease. He explained everything that he was going to do to me. He answered all of my questions. It only took about 45 minutes to finish. Apparently it took longer than expected (It was only expected to take about 15-20 minutes), because my skin is retarded and is very delicate. He had to be gentle and fine with it because the ink was wanting to spread a little bit in my little veins. He made it work though, which is another reason that I will continue to go to him. All in all, it was a very good experience.

Today I was working on my weaves. I got 3 of them done, so I only have 1 left. Then I will move on to perms, which I only have one left to do. After that will be relaxers. I am hoping to get started on the relaxers tomorrow sometime. I went to dinner with my dad and Cheryl tonight. We met at this Thai food place in Davis. It was really really good. They are moving to Germany in July. I am hoping that I will be able to go out there and see the area after I get out of school. Maybe I will get to spend the holidays there. This weekend I will be going down to Turlock. Going to a birthday lunch with Michelle, Josh, and possibly David on Sunday. Then we will be seeing a movie. Not sure which one yet. Next weekend is Easter Sunday. I am going to be spending the night that Saturday and then spending the day with my dad's family. It should be fun. Alright, I think that is it... :]]

Mmmmm Stuff

Hmmm, what to type..... Well, turns out the skin d&d test is tomorrow and not today. So in main theory, we just reviewed the whole time. I hope that I do decent!! Then we basically just did perms all day. Okay, not even basically. We did perms all day. I got both the bricklayer and the piggyback signed off. The piggyback is definitely my favorite so far. I only have the spiral perm left to do. Ehh so I need a job. Why is no one hiring?! I am actually starting to worry about money, even though I am for sure good for the next 5 months. Ughhh I would just like a job so that I have money to buy my food and get gas and presents and such. Maybe I can do more stuff for A Change of Pace. I will have to talk to Jeannine about that. Betty and I discussed food payments today a little bit. She was asking for $5/ a day for food. I know it is not really that much, but I cannot really afford to commit to that every day. So I am just going to be figuring out my own food and meals. If I lose 20 lbs you will know why, lol. Sooo I absolutely love my hair! I am getting used to it. It still feels kind of weird like in the shower because there is not very much hair there anymore and feels so light. But yes, I love it very much. Tomorrow I think we will be learning relaxers. I am interested to learn about them. I am working at packet pick up for a race in Davis this weekend. So there is a little money to go towards everything. Woo! Alright, it is sleepy time soon.

Sleepyness

Hi all! Mmm today was a pretty good day. I woke up super tired. I did not want to get up at all, but of course I did. In main theory, Eddie taught us a different take on long layers. He called it the X-Cut. It was pretty interesting. Then in the freshmen room we learned more about perms and such. I got my first two types signed off. They were the straightback and the candlestick. Tomorrow I will start the bricklayer. I actually really like perms. A few people kept saying "OMG! I am never going to do perms!!" And I just do not really understand why everyone hates them so much. Linda got sent home because her dress was too short. She looked hella hot, but yeah, it was on the short side. Hmm, so I just remembered that we have a test on skin diseases and disorders tomorrow. I am so going to fail this one. Soooooo many terms to know. I suppose I should go over them tonight or in the morning. Well, I took Betty grocery shopping tonight. I got a few things for myself. Some chips, Crystal Light pouches, and some frozen dinner thingys that I can bring to school. I am trying not to go out for lunch. I have been doing good this week. I have not gone out once yet!! Mmmm so I want to dye my hair sometime soon. I need to make an appointment for that. I am thinking that I want Brad to do it. I have been working on typing all my notes up for the past hour. My anal OCDness is getting to me. All the pages need to be organized the same. Thank you mom for that inherited trait, haha. That is all, I need sleep!!!

Oh Perms!!

Soooo this weekend we went to a superbowl party for Kevin's work. It was alright. I decided to drive home this morning, as opposed to last night, because I figured that there were probably a lot of drunk people on the road last night. So I woke up around 7am, left at 8am, and got home around 9:30am. On my way back I heard on the radio that a cable company in Arizona was hacked into during the superbowl and an adult film was played for about 8 minutes. It made me laugh when I heard that!! Soooo in class, today, we took tons and tons of notes on permanent waving. It was rediculous how much we had to write down. We practiced sectioning and wrapping a little bit. It takes a little bit to get the hang of it. Lots and lots of patience involved I suppose. I am not really sure what I think of it yet. Perms have the rep that you either really hate them or really love them, though. So, we will see how that goes. Betty and I watched The Bachelor. It is down to the final 4 girls already! It seems like it just started, and it is already close to the end. My favorite girl went home tonight, so I am kind of sad, lol. Alright, I believe that is it for now. Enjoy!

Random Tid-Bits

Hi All! How are you? I am doing pretty fantastical!! :D I cut hair all day long. Woo! And I finally got my CA cut signed off so I will be starting my AC tomorrow morning. I am excited that our last day of cutting is tomorrow. I mean, it is loads of fun and all, but I am ready to learn everything else, haha! I found out today that we are going to be learning about perms and relaxers next week. Should be fun! Omg!!! So this girl from my school who went on the London trip this year is apparently stuck in London! Someone stole her wallet and passport and stuff so she cannot get back to America! Is that not insane?! I would be freakin' terrified to be stuck in another country with no money... Anywaysssss, after class tomorrow, Tifany, one of the instructors, is going to cut my hair. I am rather excited about it. I told her that she can be creative and do whatever she wants. So this should be interesting(pictures to come!!!). I am trying to decide if I am going to drive down to Turlock tomorrow night. I want to go to the Superbowl party with Josh. I will see how I am feeling after I am done with everything tomorrow, I suppose. I went out to dinner with my dad and stepmom this evening. We went to On the Border in Natomas. It was sooooooo yummy. Definitely a favorite place to eat. It was a nice evening too, had some nice conversations with them. And afterwards I was in the bathroom and there was this lady talking to her little girl about how they were moving to Guam soon. So I talked to her for a little bit. Her husband is in the Air Force and they are moving there in 2 days. What a small world, lol. Alright, well my mind is drawing a blank so I think that I am done for today. Peace.
